Email For Stephanie
This email was sent in early December, when people struggle the most with poor eating habits and lack of time for exercise. The goal was to have the reader book a free call for an introduction to Stephanie’s fitness coaching program.
Subject Line: No one gets in shape without clearing this hurdle
Hi (Name).
Don’t worry about what you ate last night.
Entire value-size bag of chips? And a whole pizza? With 3 glasses of wine? Maybe more than that.
It doesn’t matter. Here’s why.
When this happens, you probably plan an intense workout the next day to “make up” for it.
And spend the next few days hating yourself.
And eat only raw veggies, until you’re so famished and frustrated that you find yourself waist-deep in a huge bowl of ice cream.
Because you’re hungry and tired of trying so hard.
Know what’s holding you back?
Here’s what’s not the problem:
- the cheese tray at the holiday party
- the co-worker who always brings in homemade desserts
- the open bottle of wine in the fridge
- the fast food restaurant one block away
What’s really going on?
You’re stuck in a pattern of self-hatred and shame. You’re flailing, trying everything you can, hoping that at some point, something will work for you.
THIS is the huge hurdle that most people never jump over. It will keep you locked in the cycle for as long as you let it.
Ever been rock climbing?
Ever get to that one spot where there’s absolutely nothing to grab onto? It’s all just out of reach. And you have no choice but to descend to the ground, disappointed.
I want to get you past that hurdle.
How many times have you tried to get in shape?
Every time you try and fail, it feels more pointless.
You start to wonder why you’re working this hard, when you could just enjoy the damn cheesecake.
Except you can’t enjoy it anymore because of the guilt.
The first thing we’re going to do is put away the calorie-counting apps, the too-tight jeans, and the damn scale.
And I will show you how to honor your needs, to listen to your body, and to have compassion for yourself no matter what you look like.
Most people skip this step. It requires breaking thought patterns that have been subconsciously playing in the background. You may not be aware of these.
It seems so much easier to just download another free app. Or join a gym that you’ll never go to.
Sure, you could wait until after the holidays. And go overboard with the treats…again. And try to pull yourself up when you’re a few pounds heavier than you are now.
See how the cycle repeats itself?
Or… I can help you make a plan to enjoy delicious food without sabotaging your goals.
You’ve already taken the first step. Just by reading this.
I’m offering you a complimentary 30-minute call with me.
I want to help you escape the shame cycle, establish habits that work for you, and feel good when you look in the mirror. We’ll make sure your plan fits your lifestyle, because drastic changes aren’t sustainable.
We’re going to take a deep dive together, and figure out what you need. No judgment, no labels.
I still have a few spots left.
It’s time to break free of the trap.
